
Position: Fundraising Intern
Duration: 6-month Unpaid Internship
Compensation: Unpaid – must be able to receive academic credit
Location: Remote (Must reside in the USA)
Assist in identifying prospective individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners
Draft outreach emails, letters, and follow-ups to donors and sponsors
Support stewardship efforts by helping thank donors and maintaining relationships
Assist in planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives and campaigns
Help develop creative fundraising ideas to engage community and donors
Support online fundraising efforts through platforms such as Give Lively, Benevity, or similar tools
Provide support for fundraising events such as charity games, raffles, and silent auctions
Assist with outreach to potential sponsors, vendors, and prize contributors
Help track commitments, donations, and event contributions
Conduct research on foundations, corporations, and individuals who may be interested in supporting our mission
Help compile donor lists and prospect profiles
Track grant and sponsorship opportunities
Assist with recording donations and maintaining accurate fundraising records
Help prepare acknowledgement messages and donor receipts
Support internal reporting related to campaign progress and donor engagement
Work collaboratively with the fundraising, marketing, and leadership teams
Help create messaging related to fundraising appeals and donor newsletters
Participate in virtual team meetings as needed
Must be pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable communicating via email and phone with donors and partners
Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Interest in nonprofit development, philanthropy, or fundraising
Passionate about supporting critically and chronically ill children
Real-world nonprofit fundraising experience
Experience communicating with donors and sponsors
Training in donor relations, campaign planning, and event fundraising
